Our Story

Where It All Begins

A Kentucky farm, a family, and a little boy named Leland.

Named for Him

Leland's Story

Every jar, every loaf, every hand-knit piece carries the spirit of this land and the boy who inspired us to stop rushing and start truly living. Leland — our curious, wide-eyed adventurer — has a way of seeing beauty in everything around him, from the way the light hits the pond at dusk to the smell of bread rising in the kitchen.

Harvesting Leland was born from a simple idea: what if we built something intentional? Something that connected us to the land, to each other, and to the people we share it with?

That idea became a farm. A kitchen. A studio. A small business with a very big heart.

How We Work

Farm Philosophy

We believe the best things take time. Our sourdough ferments for days. Our herbs are dried at their peak. Our knitting is finished one stitch at a time. There's no shortcut here — and that's the whole point.

We grow as much as we can right here on our land. What we can't grow, we source from other small farms and makers we trust. Every ingredient has a story, and we take that seriously.

This is not fast food. It's not mass production. It's the kind of thing your grandmother would have made — if she had a little more time and a lot of lavender growing out back.

Meet the Family

We're a small family doing big things on a beautiful piece of Kentucky land.

The Harvesting Leland family

The Harvesting Leland Family

We're a Kentucky family who traded the hustle for the homestead. Leland, our youngest, gave this whole thing its name and its spirit. You'll find us in the kitchen before sunrise, in the garden after school, and at the farmers market whenever we can manage it.

More team details, photos, and bios coming soon — we're a little busy making bread.
